This handsome Black Copper Rooster is strutting through the barnyard. This French breed is known for their striking copper necks and saddles. These magnificent roosters are a favorite study for me. I love the copper colored feathers contrasting with the blue-black of the tail feathers—Just another amazing example of complementary colors found in nature!
